The Building Process - Architecture

Sun West Custom Homes' in-house architecture team interprets and designs each home in conjunction with the client and the construction team. This diverse team allows the project to complete to exact specifications and concentrates on reducing design problems in the field, thus reducing costly and time consuming construction changes.

Daniel S. Coletti, a Residential Designer licensed in the state of Nevada, with Carl Martinez, will visit the client's lot many times prior to putting pencil to paper as each and every lot has some hidden attributes that Sun West Custom Homes will make the most of. Following the visit to the lot, Dan personally drafts an initial floor plan that utilizes client ideas and wishes as well as a site plan of the parcel on which the home will rest.

Mr. Coletti then sits down with the client and begins a detailed "asset allocation" process, involving a 13-page multi-sectioned amenities questionnaire designed to help clients agree on their dream home's plans, optional items and costs. The probing questions are to gather all the little pieces of information from the client, including their innermost wants and aversions in order to extract the true desires of the client while maintaining budget limitations. The questionnaire is more comprehensive than anything used in the industry today and can take up to four hours to complete.

There is great flexibility in determining what amenities to include. If, for example, money is not the dominant concern to a client, Sun West Custom Homes has more flexibility in the design and selection of optional features. Sun West Custom Homes takes great pride in thoroughly discussing all options by explaining any pros and cons to a client and addressing any individual concerns.
